Rothstone is a UK wide property and development management company specialising in retail, leisure and roadside developments. The company has a long track record of developing and asset managing property predominantly across the north of England, but also including projects in London, Leicester and Bristol.

The business focus is on large mixed use schemes including leisure, hotels and offices through to the redevelopment of standalone convenience retail stores for groups such as Lidl, M&S Food Hall, Aldi and Morrison’s Plc, and smaller standalone roadside PFS, drive thru and pod units. Its current development programme has an end value in excess of £100m.

Rothstone is privately funded through a network of several high net worth individuals. Typically we take a 3 – 5 year view on a development project and have access to substantial funds for suitable projects via key partners Peveril Securities, who are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bowmer and Kirkland and MarshallCDP.

Peveril Securities Limited are part of the Bowmer & Kirkland Group and have their own residential development company ‘Peveril Homes’. For the financial year ended 31st August, group turnover was £678m, pre – tax profits £21.5m and cash balances were £170m, whilst net assets of the group increased to £246 million. Bowmer and Kirkland as you may know have an outstanding track record in the delivery of cross sector projects.
Marshalls was founded in 1901 when Christopher Hemmingway Marshall set up a thriving building company in Elland West Yorkshire. Now over a 100 years on and still based in Elland the company is one of the most successful family owned companies in the North of England with a wide range of expertise in property and construction.

The Marshall group’s principal activities are commercial development and construction. The business employs around 220 people working on everything from major urban regeneration schemes to fitouts and refurbishments. Marshalls build operational facilities, distribution warehouses, retail parks, offices both in city centres and on business parks, residential property, city centre retail development, hotels and leisure uses such as cinemas, bars and restaurants.
